Alternative Energy

The objective of this portfolio is to create long-term growth through global investments in listed companies involved in alternative energy such as wind power, solar energy, and liquid gas.

Propelle believes that investing in new energy sources is becoming more profitable every day. The world’s known oil reserves are running out, a process which is exacerbated by skyrocketing consumption in India and China.

Most of the remaining oil reserves are found beneath the deserts in the Middle East, which translates into an obvious risk of increasing unrest and instability in the world for years to come–until the day when new sources of energy can replace oil, gas and coal. The more marginal oil fields are either situated far out to sea or far away in the Arctic wilderness. Those last drops of oil will be expensive.

In other words, the world is in desperate need of alternative energy sources. Global warning may even force us to give up on fossil fuels long before the reserves are completely dry. This is why there is money to be made from alternative energy.

For this portfolio, we invest in interesting value shares from the whole world.
